Alison Feibel joined GMRI in the fall of 2016 as a LabVenture! Fellow where she works with 5th and 6th grade students who are visiting the Cohen Center for Interactive Learning as part of the LabVenture! program.
Alison received her B.A. in Biology from the University of Chicago and her M.S. in Environmental Science from Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at Florida Atlantic University, where her research focused on the effects of nutrient pollution on benthic and pelagic algae. Prior to earning her graduate degree Alison worked in environmental policy and environmental education in Washington, D.C. As an environmental educator she taught hands-on science classes aboard a historic oyster boat on the Anacostia and Potomac rivers.
Alison grew up in Gorham, Maine and in her free time enjoys being out on the water, hiking, traveling, and is always in search of book recommendations.
