Jessica joined GMRI as a LabVenture Educator in August 2017 where she inspires 5th and 6th graders to dive into the world of science and learn how they are connected to the Gulf of Maine.
Jessica graduated with her Bachelors of Science in 2016 from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME. While there she majored in marine biology with a minor in environmental science, working extensively on a grey seal diet composition project that helped determine what the grey seals in the Gulf of Maine were eating. In addition to her schooling Jessica has worked extensively in formal and informal education through a variety of after school programs, including Learning Works, as a summer school teacher, and as a naturalist on a whale watch boat.
When out and about you may catch a glimpse of this native Vermonter traveling the state and country, hiking, kayaking, swimming or just taking in the ocean looking for her beloved marine mammals.
