Kyle joined GMRI in 2013 as the Sustainable Seafood Brand Manager. She is focused on building awareness of and participation in the Gulf of Maine Responsibly Harvested brand, as well as monitoring participation and appropriate use of the brand.
Previous to GMRI, Kyle coordinated various stakeholders to develop standards for the Commonwealth Quality Aquaculture program of the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. She has also marketed regionally-branded produce in the Northeast for the organization Red Tomato, managed the Farmer Resource Network at the nonprofit Farm Aid, and worked on communications, marketing, and development at RSF Social Finance, a nonprofit lender based in San Francisco, CA.
While pursuing her Masters of Science in Agriculture, Food and Environment at Tufts University, Kyle's research included looking at shellfish regulations in Massachusetts, access to wholesale markets for small farmers in New England, and financing for food and agriculture enterprises. Kyle received her B.A. from Colby College, and grew up in the Boston area.
