Trawl to Table

Trawl to Table events bring fishermen together with seafood dealers, restaurants, retailers, and others involved in buying and selling seafood to share information about the seafood supply chain. These interactive events include stations on gear technology and fishing practices, quality handling, tours at fish auctions and processors, and fisheries management.

The discussions also include opportunities for working more actively together to build and maintain markets for Gulf of Maine seafood. Recent surveys and interviews have showed that for approximately 60% of restaurant and foodservice staff who have attended Trawl to Table workshops, the event sparked a major shift in their efforts to source significantly more seafood from the Gulf of Maine.
