Connected Learning Ecosystems: 2021-2022 Statewide Kick-off3 PM–4:30 PM | Online | Private
Join this virtual kick-off event to get motivated and inspired by fellow STEM educators from across the state.
Do you facilitate youth learning? Are you looking to deepen your STEM programming and offerings?
The Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI) along with 4-H, Maine State Libraries, Wabanaki Youth in Science, Gateway Community Services, and science centers across the Northeast, with funding from NASA, are looking to grow and support Connected Learning Ecosystems (CLE) across Maine. These CLEs will be a network of educators and youth facilitators working together to build a climate and data literate generation, with the knowledge and skills needed to address the challenges that face us!
Be part of this work! Join our Virtual Launch Event on Monday August 23 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM.
Local, in-person launches will offer a chance to connect in person, deepen connections, and further our visions of how the CLE work can support kids all across Maine. See below for the schedule of all the local launch events*:
- Washington County - Tuesday August 24, 9:30-3:00 at the Cobscook Institute in Trescott TWP
- Western Maine - Wednesday August 25, 9:30-3:00 at the University of Maine in Farmington
- Hancock/Midcoast - Friday August 27, 9:30-3:00 at the Hutchinson Center in Belfast
- Southern Maine - Date TBD at GMRI in Portland
- Aroostook County - Date TBD in New Sweden
We are excited to launch these CLEs, connecting members to build collective understanding of how to support youth in engaging, impactful, and authentic climate and data focused experiences.
