Mackenzie Mazur, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Research Associate
Mackenzie began as a postdoctoral researcher for GMRI in April of 2020.
She received her B.S. in Marine Science from the University of Maine in 2015, and went on to earn her Ph.D in Marine Biology at the University of Maine in 2020. Her Ph.D research focused on evaluating conservation measures in the Maine lobster fishery.
She brings extensive experience with fisheries modeling and interdisciplinary research to the Fisheries Ecology Lab, where she will be working with her team to evaluate management strategies for Northeast U.S. groundfish in a changing climate by modeling management performances under various climate scenarios.
In addition to her academic accomplishments, Mackenzie is also an accomplished SCUBA diver.
