As communities work towards resilience, the term “nature-based solutions” has become widespread. Using Snow Marine Park as an example, learn about nature-based solutions and how they can be applied to shorelines.

Participants will join a site assessment of the park using the Department of Environmental Protections’s OURSHORE program, which aims to stabilize eroding shorelines using nature-based solutions.

Attendees will receive OURSHORE assessment checklists and additional resources to apply the program to their own shoreline properties. We’ll also talk about general nature-based opportunities for environmentally friendly properties, regardless of proximity to shoreline.
