An interactive event featuring GMRI experts and our key collaborators

Sea State: Adapting Fisheries & Seafood

The health of marine ecosystems, fisheries, and seafood systems in the Gulf of Maine — and around the world — depends on getting the right information to the right people, so they can make the best decisions to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

For over 20 years, the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI) and our partners have been connecting scientists, policymakers, and people who make their living on the water to turn knowledge into action.

Now, with new challenges ahead, join us for a conversation with Meredyth Sullivan, LabVenture Senior Program Manager; John Williamson, commercial fisherman and Managing Director of the Marine Resource Education Program; and Kristin Kleisner, Associate Vice President, Oceans Science at the Environmental Defense Fund. Together, they’ll explore how collaboration and shared understanding—at local, national, and global levels—are shaping the future of our ocean. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Doors will open at 5:30 pm with complimentary refreshments available, and the program will begin at 6:00 pm. Free parking is available for all registered attendees in the lot adjacent to our building.

More information on the speakers is coming soon!
