Renee Ferrazzuolo

Renee joined GMRI in September 2026 as an IT Support Technician on the IT & Facilities team, where she helps staff across the organization with their technology needs. Prior to joining GMRI, she spent about a decade working in microbiological research and testing before a longtime interest in cybersecurity led her back to school, with her most recent role being providing help desk support to Southern Maine Community College.

Renee holds a B.S. in Biotechnology from California State University San Marcos, an A.A.S. in Cybersecurity from Southern Maine Community College, and a B.S. in Cybersecurity from the University of Maine at Augusta. Originally from Atlanta, she made her way to Maine by way of Southern California in 2018, and her love for her new home drew her to GMRI’s work protecting the Gulf of Maine and its coastline for future generations. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her crocheting, fencing, or tending her garden.
