We've turned the summit into Maine Blue Economy Week.

Instead of a single day summit, we are now partnering with Bigelow, UMaine, and Roux to put on a multi-day event called Maine Blue Economy Week. In 2026, the event will be from September 30 – October 2. Learn more and register below!

The 2025 Blue Economy Investment Summit was hosted in partnership with The ClimateTech Incubator at Northeastern University's Roux Institute and guided by a steering committee of leaders from Blue Venture Forum, Maine Venture Fund, Maine Technology Institute, CEI, and Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences.

The one-day event offered a unique opportunity to explore major trends shaping ocean and marine technology investment — what’s working, what’s changing, and what’s needed next. Attendees heard from innovative founders, seasoned investors, and key stakeholders advancing blue economy solutions that address the most pressing challenges facing our oceans today. Maine’s leadership in the sustainable ocean economy was front and center, with a spotlight on how the region is catalyzing growth across Northern New England and beyond.

This 2025 summit explored the intersection of climate tech and the blue economy with attention to how shifting market conditions are shaping opportunities in this sector. We also highlighted Maine’s dynamic entrepreneurship ecosystem and its role in fostering sustainable ocean innovation.
