Hands-On Science Reaches 100,000 Students
Tidings | May 9, 2016
Our Education team has achieved an extraordinary milestone for science literacy in Maine.
After a decade of welcoming 5th and 6th graders into our lab, our LabVenture! program has now served 100,000 students.
“The LabVenture! program seeks to expose kids to the world of science, but it also teaches the questioning, testing, and critical-thinking skills necessary to be successful in any area of study,” said Chief Education Officer Leigh Peake.
GMRI staff joined the students of Winslow Junior High for a special celebration full of cheering, laughter, and balloons.
Visit our blog for a full account (video included) of the festivities.
