Nicholas Mancuso

Development Officer

Nicholas Mancuso joined the GMRI team in May 2022 as the Development Officer. In this role, he works to connect research and programs with philanthropy to help donors make an impact on solving global ocean challenges.

Prior to joining the team at GMRI, Nicholas served as the Major Gift Officer at Pine Tree Society, working with donors to secure philanthropic investment for Pine Tree Camp, a fully adaptive summer camp for individuals with disabilities.

Before moving to Maine, Nicholas served as the Senior Strategic Talent and Operations Associate in Boston University’s Development and Alumni Relations division for five years during the first $1 Billion comprehensive capital campaign in university history, helping development leaders build high-performing and best practice teams.

Nicholas has also been an avid volunteer with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education since 2014. He has presented on best-practice advancement staff engagement and retention at CASE Strategic Talent Management and at the CASE District 1 conference.

Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Politics & Law and Literary & Cultural Studies from Bryant University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Fairfield University.
