Indigenous Partnerships Manager
Plansowes started at GMRI in 2022 working as an Indigenous Partnerships Manager with the Community team. She is a proud member of the Passamaquoddy Tribe from Sipayik and is very passionate about her culture, language, and people. Much of her work revolves around preserving the Passamaquoddy language.
She also spends time doing healing work through food sovereignty in her community. A favorite role of hers, in the past, was being an Apprentice Teacher at the Passamaquoddy Language Immersion School. Here she taught 3–5-year-olds the language through TPR (Total Physical Response).
