Sienna Zuco
Climate Services Project Manager
Sienna Zuco joined GMRI’s Climate Center in April 2024 as the Climate Services Project Manager. In this role, Sienna supports the Municipal Climate Action Program through project management, storytelling, and program facilitation, working to ensure the viability and sustainability of Maine’s coastal communities in the face of a warming climate.
During her studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and upon graduation, she has worked in various communications and project management roles. From creating interconnected support systems with refugees to advocating for the local food system, she uses communications and project management as key ways to further sustainability-focused and community-centered objectives.
Originally from North Carolina, Sienna moved to Maine in 2021 to manage communications for a collaborative agricultural technology project at Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture & the Environment. Since joining GMRI, Sienna has been emboldened by the innovative research and community engagement initiatives of the Institute. When she is not working, you can find Sienna quilting, at the beach, or in the kitchen finding new recipes and building community with friends and family.
