One Climate Future: A Joint Plan for Climate Action
The Sounding Line | Jan 31, 2022
In this episode of The Sounding Line, we learn how the cities of Portland and South Portland created a joint climate action plan called One Climate Future.
Whether directly or indirectly, we are all feeling the impacts of climate change. Some of these impacts, such as sea level rise and coastal flooding, are particularly acute for coastal communities. Leaders in these communities know we'll need to plan ahead in order to thrive in a warmer future.
Our guests, Julie Rosenbach, Sustainability Director for the City of South Portland, and Troy Moon, Sustainability Director for the City of Portland, discuss their One Climate Future plan. Our own Municipal Climate Action Program Manager Gayle Bowness joins Julie and Troy as this episode's host.
"It's not just policy, it's actually action. To be able to see the changes that we're talking about and contemplating actually starting to take place is really gratifying.
