Blue mussels are an ecologically, culturally, and economically important species here in the Gulf of Maine. Join GMRI experts Aaron Whitman, Carissa Maurin, and Sheba Brown to learn about our work to support both wild and farmed mussels. Together, we will walk around Mackworth Island at low tide to observe blue mussel beds in the wild while learning about this vital species.
