Educator Workshop: Coastal Flooding Community Science -Southern Maine

Are you an educator in Maine or New Hampshire interested in engaging youth in observing and assessing the impacts of sea level rise and coastal flooding in your community? Come join us for a professional learning experience focused on resources and lessons that support groups of students and community members in collecting data and making observations during high tides and storms. This data helps improve National Weather Service flood forecasts and advisories in local communities, identifies locations vulnerable to flooding, and helps local emergency managers and decision-makers plan for coastal resilience.

During this workshop, we will:

Participants will receive a $75 stipend, dinner, mileage reimbursements, and contact hours.
