Scientist To Go with Katie Giannakopoulos
10 AM–10:45 AM | Online | PrivateJoin Katie as she discusses her career as a meteorologist and the connection between sea level rise, storms, and climate change.
GMRI's Scientist To Go program allows for students to meet with a wide range of scientists and to learn a little bit more about what they do. These 45 minute sessions are made up of around 20–25 minutes of presenting from the scientist and around 15–20 minutes of questions and answers from students.
Scientist To Go presentations can highlight how the scientist ended up where they are today, what they are researching, and/or anything else that they want to highlight about their scientific career.
We hope these presentations will expose students to a diverse group of scientists and science career paths, including both formal and informal science, and let them see science in ways that they may not get to do in a traditional classroom setting.
