Allie Rand

Allie joined GMRI as a Senior Research Administrator for the Sponsored Projects Office in December 2024. In this role, she supports GMRI's education, economic development, community, and science programs by helping to identify funding sources and assisting with proposal development.

With nearly a decade of experience in New England’s clean energy and climate sector, Allie previously worked in state government, supporting grid modernization and resilience program development. Before that, she worked in finance operations at a Boston-based renewable energy startup. Allie earned a Master's in Environmental Management from Yale School of the Environment in May 2022.

Allie grew up in Raymond, Maine, and now lives in Portland. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and exploring nearby mountains, lakes, and coastlines.
