Elizabeth Moore

Liz joined the Gulf of Maine Institute in 2020. She is currently a Program Manager for the Marine Resource Education Program (MREP).

Before joining GMRI, Liz was a scientific diver, a NEFOP observer, and a marine fisheries research technician for state agencies in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She received a Master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire, where she worked local fishing industry and studied the American Lobster.

Her work has spanned coastal communities ranging from Key West, Florida, to St. John’s, Newfoundland, and Labrador. These experiences have enabled her to work closely with a variety of coastal and fishing communities.

When not at work, Liz enjoys skiing, hiking, and traveling with her family, which includes two Spanish greyhounds. Every few years, she attempts to run a marathon and then quickly goes back to walking in the woods.
