Natalie Lord
MREP Aquaculture Project Manager
Natalie joined GMRI in December 2024 as the Aquaculture Project Manager on the Marine Resource Education Program team. Before GMRI, Natalie worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of New Hampshire where she is earning her doctoral degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies. Her research is focused on seafood access and social equity for the seafood system participants in New England.
In 2023, Natalie was a NOAA Knauss Marine Policy Fellow in the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program where she worked as the Stakeholder Engagement and Capacity Building Fellow. Natalie also completed her master's degree at UNH where she studied women oyster farmers in Maine and New Hampshire. Before returning home for graduate school, Natalie lived in Washington state. She worked on a commercial salmon operation in Washington as an educator for the NOAA B-WET program and served as an AmeriCorps Service Volunteer.
